In Lieu Of La boheme No Doubt

Coming soon to the English National Opera: Gaddafi - the opera.

"Gaddafi", which opens in September, will feature Asian beats and rap in place of arias and romance, and the title role will be performed by a 39-year-old Irish-Indian nightclub MC called JC-001.

No word yet on if JC-001 has any knowledge of the whereabouts of THX-1138.  And, of course, this opera should not be confused with Ghengis Khan!, the rock opera.  Because, as the titles suggest, one opera employs heavy metal Mongolian.  The only similarity between the two is that both ideas were apparently conceived during a fit of insanity.

And you didn't think you'd learn anything new today...
